Edward Robert Builders creates homes that respond thoughtfully to local conditions, providing greater comfort through Canberra’s hot summers and cold winters while supporting energy efficiency and lasting performance.
The founders of Edward Robert Builders first crossed paths in 2016 while working on construction projects across Canberra. One specialised in carpentry and construction, while the other brought experience managing large-scale developments. Both had encountered recurring problems with thermal performance, inefficient building methods and homes that were not well suited to Canberra’s climate.
A shared belief in a more thoughtful approach led to the establishment of Edward Robert Builders in 2018. The objective was to create intelligently designed homes that provide lasting comfort and perform effectively through Canberra’s changing seasons.
Since then, the company has remained focused on climate-responsive construction, with an emphasis on quality workmanship, responsible building practices and careful attention to detail. Working closely with architects, designers and building scientists helps carry those priorities through each project, allowing the team to deliver high-performance homes that combine considered design with practical, comfortable living.
What began as a shared frustration has developed into an ongoing commitment to improving residential building standards across the ACT through homes designed for comfort, efficiency and lasting performance.
Who We Are
Edward Robert Builders was founded by Eddie Redmond and Robert Klacek, who bring more than 25 years of combined building experience across Canberra, Sydney and international projects.
Each project is supported by a trusted network of tradespeople, suppliers and industry professionals who contribute throughout the building process. Clients are guided from the initial planning stages through to completion with consistent workmanship, reliable project management and open communication.
Our Approach
