Notes from the site and the drawing board. What we are learning about building homes that hold their warmth through a Canberra winter, what is changing in the code, and how the decisions made early shape the way a house feels to live in years later. Written by the people doing the work.
A true custom home starts with a blank page, shaped around how your family lives and the specific demands of building in Canberra. Real conversations, design that responds to your block, and a build process where nothing gets lost between the drawings and the finished home.
How warm your home feels comes down to design, not just the thermostat. Draught sealing, proper insulation and double glazing keep the warmth in, while north-facing living areas let the winter sun do the rest.
New builds, custom homes, knockdown rebuilds, renovations, extensions and energy upgrades across Canberra and Queanbeyan.
